May 14, 2014

Middleton Robotics Parents, Students, Sponsors, & Volunteers:

As we wind down the 2013-14 robotics season, it is time to review progress and start planning for next year. We have three important events coming up in the next two weeks that are described below is this email. Plus I would like to start collecting information about our 11 graduating senior. The following are the topics covered in the remainder of this email:

1. Sponsor Appreciate Night – Postponed
2. Club Team Picture – May 23, 2014
3. Final Parents Meeting – May 23, 2014
4. Graduating Senior Information

Newsletter Details:
1. Sponsor Appreciate Night – Has been postponed. It will probably rescheduled for the fall.
2. Club Team Picture – May 23, 2014 – Earlier in the school year we took a great picture of all of the club students that we have used in our club overview flyer. At that time, we did not have team shirts for all of the students. Therefore, on Friday, May 23, 2014 immediately after school we would like to again take a picture of all of the students in the club. All students should plan on wearing their team shirts to school that day and meet in the robotic class rooms immediately after school.
3. Final Parents Meeting – May 23, 2014 – The final parents meeting of the 2013-14 robotics season is scheduled for May 23, 2014, 5:30pm to 6:00pm. The focus of the meeting will be to review results from this year, formally announce the club leadership for the 2014-15 season, and discussion summer fundraising activities. I will also review the financial status of the club and how many students achieved their fundraising goal. Please make an effort to attend this final meeting.
4. Graduating Senior Information – For the last 5 years I have been tracking our graduating seniors to understand where they are going to college, what degrees they are pursuing, and if they have received any scholarship awards. We use this information in summary form only in our club overview flyer to help understand the value of the robotics club. There is a total of 11 senior in this year’s robotics club graduating class. SENIORS, please respond to this email and let me know where you will be going to college, the degree you are pursuing, and the total value of any scholarship you have received.
