Although most teams were from the United States, there were teams from China, India, Romania, the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Australia, and Saudi Arabia
After 2 days of qualifying matches, 24 teams moved on to the semi-finals – 12 teams in the Edison Division, including Middleton’s team #4997 Masquerade, and 12 teams in the Franklin Division.
Just like in football, the champions of each division played in the ‘Super Bowl’, aka the FTC World Championship. The Franklin Division was expected to win, however, the Edison Team, which included Middleton’s Masquerade, prevailed, winning two out of the three matches!
